Boehringer Ingelheim To Expand Its Presence In Asia

With the aim of expanding its presence in the world's second-largest drug market, German drugmaker Boehringer Ingelheim is to acquire the remaining stake in SSP, its subsidiary company in Japan, for US$365mn. Boehringer Ingelheim currently owns 60% of SSP through its local unit, Nippon Boehringer Ingelheim.
