Price Cuts Enforced On 300 Prescription Drugs
February 2010 | Industry Trend AnalysisIn a move to cut spending, the Irish government has come to an agreement with the Irish Pharmaceutical Healthcare Association (IPHA) to cut the prices of approximately 300 prescription medicines by 40%. The price cuts are expected to save the state nearly EUR94mn a year, with each consumer saving EUR3-4 per prescription and approximately EUR500 annually.
