Roche Reports A 7.5% Rise In Revenues

Swiss drugmaker Roche has posted strong results for 2009, highlighting the opportunities that pandemics such as swine flu can provide to drug companies. The company has reported a 7.5% rise increase in year-on-year (y-o-y) revenues, from US$43.27bn in 2008 to US$46.53bn in 2009. Pharmaceutical division sales increased by 8% in 2009 to reach a value of US$37.08bn, accounting for 80% of the company total.
