BMI's Drug Expenditure Forecast Model reveals that medicine sales in Asia Pacific will more than double over the next decade. Key drivers of growth are expanding economies, rising populations and more chronic diseases. Multinational pharmaceutical companies should aggressively target the region by launching products, establishing manufacturing plants, forging partnerships with local firms and conducting research and development (R&D) activities.
