Orchid Sells Genectables Business To Hospira

The US-based firm has purchased the generic injectable pharmaceuticals business of India's Orchid Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals for US$400mn. Following the announcement of the deal, Orchid's share price dropped by more than 10%, while Hospira's rose. This suggests to BMI that Hospira has acquired an undervalued asset.
