AstraZeneca To Collaborate With Dako: Increasing Its Focus On Personalised Healthcare

Multinational drugmaker AstraZeneca and Denmark-based cancer diagnostic company Dako have entered into a collaboration to develop companion diagnostic tests for a number of AstraZeneca oncology products, including biologics and small molecules, in various stages of discovery and development. Companion diagnostics are bioanalytical assays designed to assist with treatment decisions based on the efficacy and/or safety of a specific compound or class of compounds for specific patient populations - in this case acting as an aid to determine the most appropriate cancer treatments for patients.
