Pharma Market Growth Records Upturn 2009

BMI calculates that Poland's pharmaceutical market grew by 10.5% on a local currency basis in 2009, reaching a value of PLN30.25bn (US$9.85bn) at retail prices. This marks a slightly higher rate than BMI projected for the year, although we note that a surge in sales during late-2009 due to the H1N1 pandemic affected full-year results.
