Eurofarma Confirms Additional Foreign Expansion Imminent

Brazilian pharmaceutical company Eurofarma has confirmed it is in negotiations to acquire companies in Uruguay, Paraguay and Colombia, reaffirming the company's intention to establish itself as a pan-Latin American drugmaker. Eurofarma's Director of New Business, Mariá del Pilar Muñoz, told local financial daily Valor that completion of these acquisitions is expected in early 2010.
