Government Creates A National Drug Company

The Ecuadorian government has announced the creation of a state-owned pharmaceutical plant, Enfarma, which will produce drugs for public health centres across the country. According to the Economic Policy Co-ordinating Minister Diego Borja, Enfarma will not be a profit-making company but rather a company that provides a service to the country.
