Export Growth To Prevail As GSK Ups Production

GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) is to transfer production of benign prostatic hyperplasia treatment Avodart (dutasteride) from France to Poland, in an effort to optimise manufacturing costs. GSK will invest PLN70mn (US$25mn) in upgrading its plant in Poznań, Poland, of which around PLN54mn (US$19mn) will be spent on purchasing new equipment and rebuilding infrastructure. GSK describes its soft capsule production line in Poznań as among the most modern in its entire network.
