At a pharmaceutical industry conference on the the credit crisis held in Italy, Sergio Dompe, president of Farmindustria, stated that the country's pharmaceutical market would not experience any growth in 2010, maintaining stable sales figures in terms of value despite sales experiencing a marginal increase in terms of volume. BMI notes that our drug market forecast for Italy does not mirror Dompe's prediction - we expect a decline in drug market growth in 2010 of 0.06% in local currency terms and -2.8% in US dollar terms.
