New Biotechnology Plant For Abu Dhabi

Investments worth US$150mn have been set aside for the construction of a new biotechnology plant in Abu Dhabi. The new facility will be expected to produce and export biologic products throughout the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region from its base. We note that the UAE is on track for the diversification of its economy beyond oil, and that the government has made considerable investments in the pharmaceutical industry.
