Nycomed Q309 Revenue Up

Swiss pharmaceutical company Nycomed has released its Q309 financial results, announcing a 0.9% increase in net sales from Q308 to US$1.23bn (EUR820.0mn). BMI notes that the Q309 turnover figures include a one-off upfront payment of approximately US$100mn from US-based Forest Laboratories. In August 2009, Nycomed and Forest Laboratories entered into a development, manufacturing and commercialisation agreement for Daxas (roflumilast), a once-daily oral treatment for patients suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
