Antibiotice Privatisation Less Likely Than Ever
November 2009 | Industry Trend AnalysisThe long-planned privatisation of Romanian drugmaker Antibiotice Iasi may be off the cards. Social Democratic Party (PSD) president Mircea Geoana has suggested that the government may seek to set up a national pharmaceutical company, with Antbiotice and the Cantacuzino Institute the centrepieces. Geoana underlined that reducing import reliance, particularly in light of the current influenza epidemic, should be a key priority as a matter of national stability.
