The introduction of a new 'Positive List' within Bulgaria's reimbursement system on June 1 caused frustration among certain drugmakers, particularly regarding the achievable prices companies are able to charge for products. However, the outcome of a meeting between the Ministry of Health, the Bulgarian Generic Pharmaceutical Association (BGPharmA) and the Association of the Research-Based Pharmaceutical Manufacturers in Bulgaria (ARPharM), is a united view that the new list has improved patient access to treatments in the country and believe there are no grounds for a thorough review or reform.
