Qiagen Acquires DxS To Strengthen Companion Diagnostics Division

In a deal valued at US$95mn in cash, plus US$35mn on the achievement of milestones, Netherlands-based molecular diagnostics company Qiagen, has acquired UK-based DxS, which designs, develops, manufactures and sells companion diagnostic products. BMI commends Qiagen's decision to strengthen its molecular diagnostic research and development (R&D) pipeline and product offering as companion diagnostics and personalised healthcare are becoming increasingly important to drugmakers.
