Crucell's Quivaxem Proving To Be Its Bestseller

Crucell has won US$300mn in contracts from a large supranational organisation for its Quinvaxem paediatric vaccine. The new contracts are the largest ever received by the drugmaker and add to the US$500mn obtained over the vaccine's tender period between 2007 and 2009. BMI believes these developments will be welcomed by the Dutch drugmaker as they support the firm's own projection of sales of US$750mn between 2010 and 2012. Additionally, in August 2009, Crucell was awarded a US$40.7mn contract by the US government for the development of monoclonal antibodies for the treatment of influenza.
