Patented Medicine Vendors Subject To More Intensive Regulation

The Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN) has announced that the Kaduna state has fallen behind on regulatory requirements for pharmacists and pharmaceutical distributors. In our view, this highlights two main disadvantages of Nigeria's drug market. First, that the regulatory bodies in place are unable to implement or enforce the law and second, that disparities between states will be exploited by counterfeiters.
