Affordable Cholera Vaccine Introduced

The Drug Controller General of India has approved the first affordable cholera vaccine. This will reduce the burden of the deadly disease and therefore stimulate the US$1.2trn economy. BMI notes, however, that more must be done to prevent cholera in the first place, specifically ending open defecation and investing in sewerage infrastructure.
