Drug Forecast Expenditure Confirmed

BMI's Drug Expenditure Forecast Model for Portugal has been indirectly validated by figures revealed by the Portuguese Association of the Pharmaceutical Industry (APIFARMA). On January 9 2009, we calculated that pharmaceutical sales in Portugal would slow to US$4.86bn in 2009 from US$5.10bn in 2008, equating to a 4.2% decline in drug market expenditure.
