NCC and Wyeth Donation To Assist Cancer Patients

Cancer is a growing problem in Peru. BMI's Burden of Disease Database (BoDD) reveals a staggering 322,849 disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) were lost to the disease in Peru in 2008. On a DALYs per capita basis, the issue of cancer is disproportionate and the National Cancer Coalition (NCC) and Wyeth Pharmaceuticals have together launched a new programme aimed at the growing burden of the non-communicable disease in the South American country.
