Draft Health Insurance Scheme Prepared
September 2008 | Industry NewsKenya's Medical Services Minister, Anyang' Nyong'o, has revealed details of the country's long awaited National Social Health Insurance scheme. Under draft proposals to be presented to Kenya's Cabinet, personal contributions to the scheme will be based on income levels and should range from KES40 (US$0.58) to KES2,000 (US$29.15) a month. The Ministry of Health hopes to cover 60% of the population by 2015, through a system offering incremental inpatient and outpatient services
