Regulation Of SEP Logistics Fee Proposed

South Africa's pharmaceutical pricing environment is already highly regulated due to the single exit price (SEP), which includes the ex-manufacturers price, a logistics fee and VAT. The overall SEP is set by the government, and tax is a set proportion of this. Within the SEP, the ex-manufacturers price and logistics fee are not currently controlled. However, this is set to change after the Department of Health published proposals to set an 'appropriate' logistics fee for the industry in the Government Gazette and requested that interested parties submit
