Air Pollution Causes More Deaths Than HIV/AIDS And Road Accidents
October 2008 | Industry NewsNews: Deaths caused by air pollution outnumber deaths caused by HIV/AIDS and traffic accidents together. According to a study released on October 15 2008 by São Paulo University (USP)'s Air Pollution Lab, air pollution resulted in about nine deaths a day in São Paulo, Brazil, or 3,500 deaths a year, which is significantly higher than the 1,624 deaths caused by HIV/AIDS and traffic accidents together in 2007.
