US$1.18bn Deep Sea Port For Archangelsk Planned
October 2008 | Project NewsA planned new deep sea port in the Arkhangelsk Oblast of Russia has moved a step closer with Yury Reiljan, the director general of design and construction company Transstroi, signing an agreement with Yury Demochkin, of the international investment company North-West Prikamje, at the VII Investment Forum in Sochi. The project is being developed in conjunction with a railway and will greatly aid the development of Russia's Ural region. It will also offer the country's maritime freight transport sector a deep sea facility on its White Sea coast.
