New Medicine Groups Added To Reference Price System
October 2008 | Industry NewsSpain's Ministry of Health has announced it plans to add 13 new groups of medicines to the reference price scheme in 2009. In addition to updating the prices of 150 drugs presently covered by the scheme, the ministry hopes to shave EUR380mn (US$485mn) off its annual drugs bill. A further EUR23mn in patient savings should also be realised.
