Multinational PPP Aims To Accelerate Drug Discovery Process
October 2008 | Industry NewsUS giant Pfizer and Belgium's leading biopharmaceutical company UCB have set up a new company, Cyclofluidics, which will aim to accelerate the drug discovery process. The joint venture also came with backing from the UK government's Technology Strategy Board, which, apart from helping to facilitate the company's formation, will also co-fund its R&D. Cyclofluidics aim is to develop technologies that automate and integrate processes known as flow chemistry and flow biology - developing a microfluidic closed loop lead optimisation platform. Each company has both a seat and scientific observer rights on the board. It is unclear whether the UK government
