Election Donations Swing Towards Democrats
October 2008 | Industry NewsPharmaceutical and healthcare industry campaign donations during the current US presidential election cycle have surpassed US$21.6mn, according to data released by the Federal Election Commission (FEC) on September 29 2008. The figures - which are based on contributions of $200 or more from political action committees (PACs) and individuals to federal candidates and from PAC, soft money and individual donors to political parties - makes pharmaceutical and healthcare the 18th largest industry donator.
