Teva Wins Approval For Biosimilar Neupogen
September 2008 | Company News AlertIsrael's Teva Pharmaceutical Industries has announced that it has received EU marketing authorisation for TevaGrastim (filgrastim), a biosimilar of Amgen's Neupogen. Filgrastim is a granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) analogue used in the treatment of chemotherapy-induced neutropenia. The approval follows a positive appraisal of the product by the European Medicines Agency (EMEA) in February 2008. Teva expects to launch TevaGrastim in the EU during 2009.
