Boehringer Ingelheim Outpaces OTC Competitors

The German company's sales increased 1.9% in the first half of 2008, while most other competitors experienced a downturn in revenue. Growth in South Korean OTC sales also exceeded that posted by Boehringer Ingleheim's global consumer healthcare division (+1.6%). BMI believes that one of the key reasons behind this strong performance is firm's enlightened marketing
