Procurement Budget Crisis Looking Inevitable
August 2008 | Industry NewsAnother crisis is brewing in Kenya's pharmaceutical market, highlighting the country's chronic procurement and supply chain difficulties. An initial report by the task force established by medical services minister Peter Anyang' Nyong'o to investigate the operation of the Kenya Medical Supply Agency (KEMSA) has revealed that the Ministry of Health significantly overshot its pharmaceutical procurement budget in the previous financial year (to June 30 2008), leaving substantial debts that must be paid from this year's
