Viread/Truvada To Be Tested for Prevention of HIV Infection

Gilead Sciences' Viread (tenofovir) and Truvada (emtricitabine) will be tested in single and combination doses in about 16,000 uninfected healthy people for pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) to prevent HIV infection in people who are at high risk of infection.
