2004 Accession States Lag Behind EU15 In Healthcare
June 2008 | Industry NewsSlovenia is the healthiest EU newcomer, according to a study on eliminating inequalities in health in the EU, presented in Ljubljana on 16 June 2008. The study, which assessed the ten 2004 accession states in comparison to the 15 pre-2004 members, analysed life expectancy along with several other health-related indicators and found that the newer members lagged behind the EU15.
