Many Antimalarials Not Up To Standard
May 2008 | Industry NewsOver one-third of antimalarials on sale in the private sector were found to be substandard, according to a study of six African countries where malaria is endemic, published in the PLoS ONE scientific journal in May. Thin-layer chromatography (TLC) and dissolution testing revealed that 35% of samples tested did not meet international standards for active ingredient content.
