New Index Highlights Value Of Ethical Pharma Investments

As a result of the growing popularity of investing in ethical companies, along with the ongoing goal of providing developing countries with better access to medicines, the Netherlands-based Access to Medicine Foundation has created a tool to measure how ethically pharmaceutical companies perform. The Access to Medicine Index, published on June 16 2008, ranks 20 of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies in terms of their efforts to increase the number of people that have access to effective and affordable medicines.
