Merck Serono Buys Commercialisation Rights To BMS Portfolio

In a move that demonstrates contrasting views of the importance of a local presence in emerging markets to innovative pharmaceutical companies, US-based Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS) has sold exclusive distribution rights for 30 prescription medicines in seven Latin American countries to Switzerland's Merck Serono (part of Merck KGaA).
