Renata To Export Corticosteroid To The UK
June 2008 | Company News AlertBangladesh's status as an emerging contract manufacturing centre was underlined after Renata became the second local company to be allowed to export pharmaceuticals to a Western European country. The drugmaker will supply an undisclosed UK firm with prednisolone, a generic corticosteroid. If more developments like this take place, BMI will be inclined to boost Bangladesh's export forecast. In the nine months to March 2008, the least developed country (LDC) generated US$32.97mn from overseas sales of domestically-produced pharmaceuticals, a 60% hike year-on-year.
