Tougher Penalties For Counterfeiters
June 2008 | Industry NewsPeru has toughened its penalties for those convicted of counterfeit drug offences, demonstrating growing concern about the trade. A bill approved by Peru's Congressional Health Commission allows anyone convicted of selling, storing, packaging or producing substandard medicine to be imprisoned for up to 10 years.
