Pharmaniaga Eyes Foreign Purchase
May 2008 | Company News AlertIn order to further penetrate the largest pharmaceutical market in South East Asia, Malaysian firm Pharmaniaga is planning to purchase a medium-sized Indonesian drugmaker. The move is part of larger strategy of boosting its overseas presence, which itself is a hedge against a possible downturn in domestic sales. BMI endorses the plan and would encourage Pharmaniaga also to look at the Philippines, which has similar sized pharmaceutical market to Indonesia, but is growing quicker.
