APP Pharma Finds Comfort In Heparin
March 2008 | Company News AlertBaxter's heparin production problems appear to have given a boost to APP Pharmaceuticals, which had been expecting a tough year after it parted company with its biotech interests Abraxis BioScience in November 2007. As part of the split, APP took on US$1bn debt, which was expected to weigh on the company while it brought its new Puerto Rican facility up to capacity. As it turns out, it has been a case of the right product at the right time for APP, as the new factory has given APP the slack to capitalise on Baxter's crisis and increase
