Patent Ruling Blow For Yasmin
March 2008 | Industry NewsShares in German drug giant Bayer have fallen after a US district court ruled that the patent on its blockbuster oral contraceptive Yasmin (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) is invalid. The decision paves the way for US-based Barr Laboratories to introduce a low-cost generic version.
