Winthrop Enters Another High Growth Market

As part of its strategy to penetrate high growth markets, French firm Sanofi-Aventis' generics subsidiary - Winthrop Pharmaceuticals - has opened a branch in Cebu Province, the Philippines. BMI completely endorses this approach, especially considering that the country is poised to pass the Cheaper Medicine Bill and has just approved a massive increase in the healthcare budget for 2008.
