The controversy that surrounded early-stage clinical trials of experimental HIV/AIDS treatment Virodene P058 (dimethylformamide) is threatening to resurface in South Africa. HIV/AIDS lobby group the Treatment Action Campaign is leading calls for a judicial investigation into the approval and blaming the President's Office for pushing it through without the green-light from the Medicines' Control Council
