Andrómaco Buys Up Three Colombian Drugmakers

Leading Chilean pharmaceutical manufacturer Laboratorios Andrómaco S.A. has signed a deal to acquire three smaller Colombian producers, California S.A., Memphis Products S.A. and Psipharma Ltda. The deal is conditional upon due diligence by the acquirer but is due to be completed by mid-November, representing an overall combined value of around US$24.6mn. The purchases provide Andrómaco with a direct presence in the prescription generics and over-the-counter (OTC) markets in the fast-growing Colombian
