Richter And Egis Expand CEE Footprint

Due to challenging operating conditions in their domestic market, Hungarian drugmakers Gedeon Richter and Egis have both increased their overseas presence to ensure sustained growth. Richter has opened a logistics centre in Romania while Egis has completed construction of a manufacturing plant in Russia. BMI endorses the strategy of the companies given the attractive investment opportunities in both destination countries. Indeed, the placing of Romania (=1), Russia (=1) and Hungary (=11) on our Central and Eastern European Business Environment Rankings justify this assertion.
