Torisel Receievs First Approval

US drugmaker Wyeth 's first-in-class cancer drug Torisel (temsirolimus) has been approved by the US FDA. The drug is indicated for renal cell carcinoma (RCC) and data has shown that it improves survival rates and quality of life compared to interferon alpha, the most common existing treatment.
