Ranbaxy Acquires Dermatology Basket
June 2007 | Industry NewsIndian drugmaker Ranbaxy has acquired the US rights for 13 dermatology products from drug major Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS). The drugs, which have all been on the market for over 10 years, treat a range of conditions including acne, psoriasis and fungal infections. BMI believes the deal could provide substantial upside for Ranbaxy as the US skincare market was worth a shade over US$2bn in 2006, and should grow by more than a quarter to reach US$2.51bn by 2011.
