Kano Sues Pfizer Over Trovan
May 2007 | Industry NewsThe State Government of Kano, Nigeria, is suing Pfizer International , the Nigerian subsidiary of Pfizer , the world's largest drugmaker, for a total of US$2.7bn. The lawsuit stems from a controversial clinical trial for the antibiotic Trovan (trovafloxacin), which was undertaken in Kano in 1996, and allegedly led to multiple deaths.
