Drug Market Forecast Increased

BMI has upwardly revised its projections for the Pakistan pharmaceutical market after new figures for 2007 were revealed at the Pak Pharma Expo. The market is currently valued at PKR90bn (US$1.48bn), which is a 14.5% increase on the 2006 figure of US$1.29bn. Due to the country's improving economic performance the demand for medicines will continue to rise. We forecast CAGR of 7.25% through to 2011, when the value of the market is expected to be US$2.1bn.
