Biotech Sector Receives Boost
April 2007 | Company News AlertThe reputation of Malaysia's biotechnology industry has been enhanced after local firm Inno Biologics revealed that it has entered a lucrative contract manufacturing deal with an un-disclosed Indian company. BMI believes that this pact will be followed by similar high-value agreements, resulting in the rapid maturation of Malaysia's biotech capabilities. In turn, this will stimulate the overall economy, which was exactly the government's intention when it decided to prominently include the sector in its Ninth Malaysia Plan 2006 - 2010.
